It was a collision between an Arriva bus and a silver Citroen van in Smithdown Road.
A collision between a double-decker bus and a delivery van caused severe traffic jams this morning on a busy road in Liverpool.
The vehicles came to a halt after the collision near the railing of the Archbishop Blanch School.
Police were on the scene and a spokesperson confirmed that “all parties were safe and sound”.
Pictures from the scene showed that the collision had thrown the front of the van into the railing of the Archbishop Blanch High School.
Fortunately, no one was reported to have been injured in the collision.
Traffic was reduced to one lane around the accident site, causing lines of vehicles to form in both directions before the accident site was cleared.
The bus has now been moved, and a spokesperson for Arriva said the company is conducting an investigation.
