Godfrey hopes that a transfer can help York City

Ben Godfrey hopes that the sales commission that York City received from his move to Everton will help catapult the club back into the football league.

The defender joined the Norwich City Blues earlier this month in a £25 million deal with potential add-ons.

York added a sale clause to the contract for the Canary Islands in 2016, probably 10 percent, when he signed the contract for the Canary Islands in 2016, and could therefore receive around £2.5 million.

And Godfrey spoke to The Press about his move to Everton and how he hopes to benefit York.

“The fees in the form of transfers and sell-on clauses, all of which have been agreed by Norwich and York.

“People ask me about it, but I never get asked about it because it is irrelevant to me.

“But when I heard about coming from York, supporting York as a child and playing for them, it was a huge thing.

“I hope that the information (that I heard) was correct.

“And it really couldn’t have come at a better time, in this difficult situation where many clubs are financially struggling.

“I really hope that it will benefit York and (help) to maintain the status of the club, because as scary as it is, the clubs are actually disappearing.

“Hopefully this bad situation will pass and they can not only survive with this money but also build a really strong squad and compete again at the level they should be at, namely in the football league.

Kalidou Koulibaly on the future of Naples

Kalidou Koulibaly downplayed the talk of Napoli’s exit and insisted that he was happy in Serie A.

The central defender has been repeatedly linked to a move in recent months, with Everton suggested as a possible target.

However, the Senegalese international is cited by HITC when it comes to his future with the club.

“I have always wanted to belong to this team, to this city. They have given me so much since my arrival (from Genk in 2014) and I want to repay the trust I have received from the first day I arrived.

“The trust that the fans placed in me was important. They confirmed once again that my decision to stay here (was the right decision).

“I am very happy today. My family is doing well in Naples and I am happy to be here.

“I represent the whole Neapolitan people and I want them to be proud of me. I will always give 300 percent for the fans so that they can return the affection they show me.

Everton connected with Dennis

Everton have been associated with a speculative move for Emmanuel Dennis.

The Club Brugge striker was associated with the blues earlier this year after Club Brugge had shown a number of impressive performances.

And the media referee believes that Carlo Ancelotti should step in for the 22-year-old to strengthen his offensive lines.

In truth, this report has little more to offer than the previous report, which already signaled interest in February.

Everton is interested in stars from Dundee United

Everton are reportedly interested in Kerr Smith of Dundee United.

The Courier reports that the 15-year-old has just been on trial at Manchester United for some time, while he is also attracting interest at Aston Villa.

United’s sports director, Tony Asghar, told Courier Sport: “Kerr and his parents are down-to-earth. They have spoken to us and he would like to stay with Dundee United, but we cannot prevent the clubs from wanting to take a look at him.

“They are talking about some of the biggest clubs in the world. Many clubs have asked to see him, but we cannot allow him to go to all of them.

“We are delighted that he has had this chance with Villa and now with Manchester United. I think he has trained very well in both cases.

“It’s great for him, but we want the best players in our football club and Kerr has the potential to be one of them. He has already shown that against Sheffield United. He has a great attitude.”

Martyn to Rodriguez and Allan

Former Everton goalkeeper Nigel Martyn has admitted that he initially had doubts about signing James Rodriguez for the Blues Summer, but has since been persuaded by the Colombian.

The playmaker has enjoyed an impressive start to life at Goodison to lead Carlo Ancelotti’s side to the Premier League top.

And Martyn offered his opinion about Rodriguez when he spoke with the HITC.

“The addition of Rodriguez, seen from the outside, made me a bit pensive.

“Great player, great World Cup, going to Real Madrid, maybe he would have hoped to go to a bigger one, so you often worry about this kind of contract signing.

“What I’m looking for is to chase back, lose possession of the ball and then not just stay where he was and wait for someone else to do his job, but to work back, which shows that he is desperate to find a new home.

“His start was excellent, he is made, he scored. When he performs, he will be looked up to by these players. This has had a great impact on the club”.

Martyn also sang the praises of Allan and compared him to a former Blue, with whom the goalkeeper used to play.

“I like Allan. Goes under the radar, but interrupts a lot of play by playing a little Lee Carsley role from my time there!

“These are the players who are very much appreciated by the other players, they do a lot of running, of tackling, of the more unpleasant side of the game, of selfless running.

“He has been really good; his passing game is decent too. He really impressed me. As far as the midfield is concerned, they look stronger than last year.

Kean achieves clamp for PSG

Moise Kean certainly enjoys life in Paris.

After scoring a brace for PSG at the weekend, he scored two more goals last night in the Champions League when French giants beat Istanbul Basaksehir.

MegaFon Agreement

MegFon expanded its trade agreement with Everton on Wednesday and became the main sponsor of the women’s team.

And this step further strengthened the relationship between Everton and Alisher Usmanov.

How?

Well, if you’ve been under a rock for 24 hours – I sincerely hope you haven’t – here is pretty much everything you need to know about the agreement.
