The news comes as Aldi has doubled the scope of its on-demand food delivery test, which started in May in selected stores in London, Greater Manchester, Cambridge and the Midlands.
Aldi last week finally confirmed the news that shoppers in Liverpool have been waiting for – that we can finally have food delivered.
The retailer has extended its delivery attempt to Liverpool, which means that customers can have food delivered.
Now the trail has been extended to Liverpool, with one store offering the coveted delivery service, Aldi has confirmed.
Once ordered, the products are picked and packed by Aldi staff before being delivered by the Deliveroo network of drivers in just 30 minutes.
The Aldi store in Liverpool’s Smithdown Road now offers food delivery via Deliveroo, with customers within a 6km radius choosing from around 400 key items.
To find the service, visit your Deliveroo app, enter your zip code and check the “Grocery” category. If Aldi does not appear, you may live too far from the store to be eligible for delivery.
Although a store may not seem like much, there are plans to expand the service in the coming weeks should it prove successful.
Delivery costs £4.99 and products can be delivered contact free.
