Today is Veterans Day, and restaurants across the U.S. are honoring current and former military personnel with special offers and discounts. At popular restaurants such as Denny’s, Wendy’s and Red Lobster, veterans and active military personnel can celebrate the day by enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner.
BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse
Conscripts and former members with a military card are entitled to a free entrance fee of up to $14.95 plus a free Dr. Pepper at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse on Veterans Day.
Black Angus Steakhouse
Black Angus Steakhouse offers all military personnel the All-American Steak Plate, which comes with an 8 oz. Certified Angus Beef Top Sirloin, mashed potatoes, broccoli with garlic butter and a soft drink for $10.99. Offer is valid from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. local time for anyone with a valid military ID or proof of military service. Take-away orders can be placed directly at the restaurant by phone.
Denny’s invites active and inactive military personnel at participating Denny’s locations nationwide on Veterans Day from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon for a free Build Your Own Grand Slam consisting of four items, with 11 items to choose from. The offer is only valid for Dine-in and can be taken with a valid military ID or DD 214.
Red Lobster offers veterans, active military personnel and reservists a free appetizer or dessert on Veterans Day when they present a military ID or proof of service.
Free appetizers include lobster and langostino pizza, seafood stuffed mushrooms, Parrot Island jumbo coconut shrimp, langostino lobster artichoke and seafood dip, Rangoon shrimp stuffed with crab, Signature jumbo shrimp cocktail and mozzarella cheese sticks. Free desserts include Chocolate Wave, Vanilla Bean Cheesecake, Warm Apple Crostada and Key Lime Pie.
Veterans and active members of the U.S. military can enjoy a free taco at Torchy’s Tacos and a soft drink from the special Veterans Day Menu, which is available for telephone or personal orders for dinner and pickup.
These include Fajita with Chicken, Fajita with Beef, Trailer Park, Trailer Park-Trashy or Fried Avocado, while the beverage selection includes a fountain drink or iced tea.
Wendy’s offers veterans and active military personnel a free small breakfast combination without the need to purchase. The offer is valid from 6:30-10:30 a.m. on November 11 for dine-in and drive-thru orders, although breakfast times may vary depending on location. The offer is not valid for mobile orders or at a kiosk.
In addition, Veterans Advantage enrolled service members receive nationwide discounts at Wendy’s Restaurant throughout the year. Members who enroll in the program are also entitled to a free breakfast sandwich with every breakfast purchase made between November 11 and December 31.
