Unimpressed Twitter users make jokes about Balenciaga’s Croc Stilettos.
Balenciaga’s second collaboration with Crocs was unveiled as part of the brand’s spring 2022 collection, and social media users were not impressed.
Crocs appear in the form of boots and platformed pool slides in the second collaboration between the two brands, but it’s the Croc stilettos that have everyone talking.
Although the controversial Crocs stilettos, which come in black and green, are not currently available for purchase, CNN said that they may cost fashionistas approximately $1,000.
Balenciaga and Crocs teamed in 2017 to make $850 platform sneakers in yellow and pink. Pre-orders for these shoes were sold out before they were even officially available, which could indicate how popular the stilettos are.
However, not everyone is delighted with the comfortable sandal and stiletto hybrid, with social media users sharing jokes and memes about their reactions to the luxury shoes.
Emily Blunt as Emily asks Anne Hathaway as Andy if she’s wearing the Chanel boots, but Zack Knoll replied, “‘Are you wearing the—'” ‘Do you mean the Balenciaga stiletto crocs? ‘I am,’ says the narrator.
