The return of the McRib has brought back stories that show the extent to which some people will try to get a McRib sandwich.
A Twitter user showed a video of a woman asking her city council to get the McDonald’s restaurants in her area to bring back the McRib sandwich. The video was distributed in 2016 when it was left to the regional managers of McDonald’s restaurants to decide whether or not to return it.
In the video, Xanthe Pajarillo says: “The removal of McRibs from the menu has affected my family, because every Thanksgiving my family wants to order a 50-piece McNugget with chicken and 10 McRibs.
“This was something of a tradition in our family, and now it’s as if my family’s holiday spirit is somehow confused and broken.
Even though Pajarillo’s case may have been a performance art or a joke, her passion reflects how many Americans feel about the sandwich.

Another viral video that has resurfaced is the video of a woman named Carla raging about being disrespected because of a McRib. In the 2016 video, the woman claims that she was not offered to trade an additional McRib for $1. The employee allegedly looked at her from top to bottom and told her that she did not look like she needed an extra McRib.
Carla replies, “Excuse me?” and claims that she slammed the employee at her throat and encouraged her viewers to do the same.
