PopFindr, Target and more PS5 inventory updates and availability tracking

Although the PlayStation 5 is still notoriously hard to find and buy, those who haven’t yet got their hands on a PS5 console shouldn’t give up their homes just yet.

The PS5 consoles are all but sold out after being in stock during the pre-sales phase, on the day of launch and then on Black Friday and Cybermonday.

However PlayStation has announced that stock is expected to replenish by the end of the year, so there is still a chance of getting the PS5 for the holidays. While many major retailers such as Target and Walmart say they are sold out online, some players report that they were lucky to find stock at certain Target stores when ordering via the app.

Below you can find out what the latest PS5 stock update is and tips on how to try and buy a PlayStation 5.

Walmart PS5 stock update

Walmart Canada will re-launch the PlayStation 5 and digital edition on December 3 at 11am ET, but will only ship within Canada. Walmart U.S. has not announced when the PS5 console will next be in stock.

Target PS5 Inventory

PopFindr indicates that the stock information for PS5s at Target is intended for ordering in the store and picking up via the app. So it is useless to show up at your local Target without an order.

The PopFindr website says that some Target stores have PS5s in stock, although the Target website says that these stores are currently sold out.

If PopFindr is right about the availability of the stock available via the app, it might be worth to use the Inventory Checker as a guide and then keep an eye on the stock of your local Target via the Target app. Try to call and check your local Target, but you should know that it cannot sell the console in the store.

Third-party PS5 inventory website

The PS5 console is resold on third-party websites such as StockX and eBay for hundreds of dollars more than the original price. Some listings may also be fraudulent, with some sellers offering only the box or a picture of the console for sale. If you decide to buy the PS5 from a reseller, be careful.

GameStop PS5 back in stock

GameStop has not announced when it will be back in stock next time. It’s unlikely, but it might be worth calling your local store if they have PS5 consoles.

Amazon PS5 Stock

The PS5 is sold out at Amazon, and the retailer has not announced when more consoles will be in stock.
