On Thursday, police in Palm Beach County, Florida, responded to a shooting near a Publix grocery store.

Police received reports of a shooting near the grocery store, according to a representative for the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

WPTV-Hollani TV’s Davis reported a strong police presence at the grocery store in Royal Palm’s Crossroads Shopping Center, which is located at RPD Boulevard and Okeechobee.

WPTV-Chopper TV’s 5 helicopter spotted 15 to 20 Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office vehicles approaching the business, according to WPTV-TV.

Three people were killed at a store in Palm Beach County, according to police.

“Detectives are investigating a shooting that took place INSIDE Publix,” according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office on Twitter.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tweeted, “Upon arrival, deputies discovered three victims deceased from gunshot wounds, one adult man, one adult female, and one youngster.”

According to authorities, one of the deceased found in the store was the shooter.

The tweet stated, “This was NOT an active shooter situation.”
