Is Joe Biden Preparing to Enter the 14th Grade? The President stated that 12 years of education is no longer sufficient.

President Joe Biden has hailed America’s K-12 education system for fueling the country’s economic progress over the years, but he acknowledged it was no longer functioning on Wednesday.

In a speech to Congress on Wednesday, Trump compared the United States’ educational system to that of the rest of the world, saying, “The world has caught up, or catching up.” They have no intention of waiting. Twelve years is no longer enough to compete in the twenty-first century with the rest of the world.”

According to government figures, the pandemic has taken a major toll on America’s youth, with nearly half of high school graduates unemployed. According to a Pew Research Center study released in April, younger persons were more likely than older persons to lose their jobs during the pandemic.

According to another Pew analysis of federal labor data, 31% of 2020 graduates were unemployed in the fall of last year, up from 22% for 2019 graduates. The Center also projected in June that, as a result of the epidemic, teen summer employment is expected to reach new lows in 2020.

Workers without a college diploma have been struck the hardest since they are more likely than university graduates to be employed in industries that cannot be performed remotely, such as hospitality, child care, or retail.

Those without a college diploma have also seen their earnings decline over time. According to Pew Research, the average high school graduate’s income fell by over 10% between the mid-1960s and the mid-2010s. College students, on the other hand, have seen their earnings rise over the last few decades.

Biden’s $1.8 trillion American Families Plan aims to close the gap between rich and poor and reduce teenage unemployment. Biden proposes to expand high school education by four years, according to a video produced on June 1 that has been making the rounds on social media.
