Congressman Matt Gaetz, a Florida Republican, accused former UN Ambassador of President Donald Trump to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, of “praising” her former boss as the election results continue to favor Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
Haley, who previously served as Governor of South Carolina from 2011 to 2017, served as Trump’s top diplomat at the United Nations for a year from January 2017 to 2018. She left the administration, but continued to support Trump. The President has also often spoken positively about Haley.
“We all owe @realDonaldTrump something for his conservative victories in the Senate, the House of Representatives and the state parliaments. He and the American people deserve transparency and fairness in the counting of votes. The law must be obeyed. We must maintain the belief that the truth will prevail,” Haley tweeted on Thursday afternoon.
While some of us fight for President Trump…
Nikki Haley praises him.

Gaetz quickly returned the post and reacted critically.
“While some of us struggle for President Trump… Nikki Haley is giving a speech in his honor. Sad!” wrote the congressman.
Washington Newsday turned to Gaetz’ communications director for further comment, but he did not respond immediately.
The post of Haley and Gaetz came when President Donald Trump repeatedly and without evidence claimed that Biden’s leaderships in several key slaughter states were caused by electoral fraud. There is no evidence to support these claims, and election officials, Republicans and Democrats, have repeatedly stated that the counts are accurate and secure. They have also pointed out the numerous security measures that make it almost impossible for fraud to succeed.
“The DOJ is not as powerless as it currently appears. They should be in court NOW to initiate the legally non-compliant ongoing count in Philadelphia,” Gaetz said in another tweet on Thursday. “FEDERAL ADMINISTRATIVE COURT!”
It is unclear how exactly the Department of Justice would or could intervene, or why it would have to intervene at all. Trumpf supporters have falsely claimed that there were “ballot depots” in election counting centers on important battlefields.
In reality, as has been widely reported and known for months, the exceptional circumstances of the spreading COVID 19 pandemic have resulted in an unusually high number of postal votes in states across the country. This has delayed the counting in several states where the race between Biden and Trump is close. Pre-election polls showed that Democrats voted by mail much more often than Republicans, which led Trump to lead the early counting of votes from personal ballots on election night. Biden later led in several major states.
The Associated Press and Fox News currently give Biden 264 votes to Trump’s 214th, and Biden needs six more votes to announce victory in the electoral college….
