An election worker in Detroit has claimed that, according to a new affidavit, she “directly observed” her fellow voters voting for Joe Biden.
The affidavit, posted on Twitter by GOP spokeswoman Elizabeth Harrington, outlines the allegations of Jessy Jacob, a Detroit campaign worker during the 2020 presidential election.
“I directly observed every day how election workers and Detroit city officials trained and tried to train voters in the election of Joe Biden and the Democratic Party,” Jacob claims in the affidavit. “I witnessed how these workers and employees encouraged voters to vote in a direct democratic election.

The affidavit also claims that Jacob was instructed by her supervisor to “adjust the shipping date of these parcels with the absentee ballots so that they were shipped earlier than they actually were. The supervisor made announcements for all workers to participate in this practice.
According to the affidavit, Jacob worked most of September at the Detroit campaign headquarters, but was then transferred to a satellite office in October.
The affidavit also claims that Jacob was instructed by her supervisor “not to ask for a driver’s license or photo ID when a person was trying to vote,” and Jacob claims that she observed “a large number of people” come to the satellite office to vote in person, “but they had already requested a postal vote.
“These people were allowed to vote in person and did not have to return the postal ballot or sign an affidavit that the voter had lost the postal ballot,” Jacob claims.
Harrington also posted several other affidavits on Twitter, which she said served as “evidence” of election fraud in the state.
Harrington wrote in a later tweet: “Another affidavit by GOP poll watcher Zachary Larsen, former assistant to the AG. She had seen how many ballots had been scanned that, although not entered in the ballot book, were still being processed”.
The affidavit comes at a time when President Donald Trump continues to make seemingly unsubstantiated allegations that the Democrats are trying to steal the election and engage in election fraud after the Associated Press and several news channels on Saturday predicted Joe Biden would win the 2020 presidential election.
Two active lawsuits are currently being filed in Michigan against the state election results. According to DemocracyDocket.com, Constantino v. Detroit is claiming several fraud conspiracies in the Michigan election and is calling on the state election commission to review the election and order a re-election.
Trump and his campaign have also filed another lawsuit seeking to stop the counting of absentee ballots in the state.
In response to the lawsuits, Michigan Republican Congressman Fred Upton said in a statement to WWMT News in Michigan: “All Michigan ballots received by the end of the voting period must be openly and accurately counted. Period. If there are irregularities, show the evidence and investigate”.
“I have not heard from any clerk in my district that there have been irregularities in the process. The democratic process and the voices of the American people must be respected,” he added in the statement.
Washington Newsday approached the Detroit clerk’s office for comment, but did not receive a response in time for publication.
