After governors began transferring the torch to private shop owners earlier this year, there have been other incidences involving dissatisfied customers who disagree with private retailers’ continued mask mandates.
According to 12News, an incident occurred in a Trader Joe’s in Phoenix in April after more than three employees attempted to convince a customer to put on a mask or leave the store.
“I’m not going to wear a mask,” the unidentified man says in a video of the confrontation. It can’t be enforced.”
“It’s a free nation, I’ll cough if I feel like it,” he said after being asked by several people surrounding him.
“When private enterprises urge individuals to wear a mask, let us respect the private business and wear a mask,” Arizona Governor Doug Ducey stated in an interview in April. They’re a fantastic idea. Arizona has consistently ranked among the top states in the US for mask participation and compliance. Let’s keep it going as we move forward.”
“If you don’t like it, you need to respect it the same way you would respect a no shirt, no shoes, no service policy,” one Trader Joe’s customer told 12News in response to consumers refusing masks. That’s all there is to it.”
While the recent relaxation of mask restrictions across the country has enthralled some, others remain wary.
According to the New York Times, many people are unsure who to believe because of the mask controversy. Fanny Lopez declared, “I’m going to wear a mask for a long time.” This is a condensed version of the information.
