After his Zoom video was dubbed the “Definition of Liberal Privilege,” Jeffrey Toobin returned to CNN.

Jeffrey Toobin, a CNN legal expert, returned to the network on Thursday after being placed on leave for exposing himself on a Zoom chat with fellow New Yorker staffers last year.

Following the incident, Jeffrey Toobin was sacked from The New Yorker after 27 years with the publication, a decision he described as “heartbreaking.”

After temporarily parting ways with Toobin in October of last year, CNN announced on Thursday that he had been restored as its chief legal expert, and Toobin spoke with Alisyn Camerota on CNN Newsroom about the issue.

Several journalists and political personalities, particularly from the conservative arena, slammed the network’s decision to reinstate Toobin on social media.

Fox News radio presenter Lisa Boothe tweeted, “Jeffrey Toobin is the embodiment of leftist privilege.”

“Any conservative man would have lost his job,” says the author. So filthy.”

Jeffrey Toobin epitomizes leftist entitlement. Any conservative man’s job would have been gone. It’s revolting.

Meanwhile, Megyn Kelly contended that Toobin was reinstated only because he is a man.

The former Fox News and NBC talk show presenter wrote, “There isn’t a woman alive who could have done anything close to what Jeffrey Toobin did (not that she would) and kept her job.”

“What a vile, incestuous boys’ club.” So damned tired of it.”

Washington Times columnist Tim Young suggested by allowing Toobin back on air, CNN undermined its support of Me Too, the social movement against sexual abuse and sexual harassment that became a worldwide phenomenon following the exposure of sexual-abuse allegations against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

“Jeffrey Toobin is back on CNN in case you’re wondering whether or not #MeToo is dead,” he tweeted.

Jeffrey Toobin is back on CNN… in case you’re wondering whether or not #MeToo is dead.
