Truckloads of whisky stolen from the warehouse.


The robbery at the XPO Logistics warehouse in Birchwood, Cheshire, is said to have occurred on Tuesday, October 20.

Criminals are said to have stolen three trucks full of whisky during a break-in at a warehouse in Warrington.

Three trucks and their trailers were later found abandoned.

This was reported by a Cheshire Police spokesman: “On Wednesday 21 October at 6.30 in the morning police received a report of a break-in at a storage unit on Leacroft Road in Birchwood.

Three trucks and their trailers containing large quantities of alcohol were reported stolen and later found abandoned on an industrial estate in Rochdale, Cheshire police said.

“All three trucks and one trailer were found a few hours later on an industrial estate in Middleton.

“The break-in involved the theft of three trucks and trailers with a large amount of alcohol reportedly in them.

“It is believed that the theft took place between 9:30 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20.
