A Cheshire Constabulary newsletter for Halton Castle in Runcorn said that the “suspicious man” had been seen near the elementary school of St Mary’s Church of England last Friday 23 October.
A man was reportedly seen in bushes near an elementary school wearing a Halloween mask and holding a knife.
Police increased their patrols after the report was made.
“It was reported that the man was wearing a Halloween mask and holding a knife.
In the circular, Duncan Brown, the police’s Community Support Officer, wrote that he was wearing a Halloween mask and carrying a knife: “On October 23rd there was a report of a suspicious man in the bushes near St. Mary’s Elementary School.
The bulletin did not indicate the time at which the incident was alleged to have occurred, nor did it give any further details about the number.
It is assumed that no arrests were made.
“Officers were present, but unfortunately were unable to locate the man.
“Patrols will be increased as soon as the school reopens halfway through the school year.”
