Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte (55) announced early Sunday morning: that large areas in the north of the country will be sealed off. New bans also apply throughout the country.
The region Lombardy and 14 provinces are affected by the measures. These are Modena, Parma, Piacenza, Reggio Emilia, Rimini, Pesaro and Urbino, Alessandria, Asti, Novara, Verbano Cusio Ossola, Vercelli, Padua, Treviso and Venice, said Conte. The economic metropolis of Milan is also affected.
