Liverpool’s city center has changed in many ways over the years as trends change and business comes and goes.

Photos from the ECHO archive show what these stores used to look like

Although the stores shown here have unfortunately closed their doors in the meantime, some of the buildings in which they were located have hardly changed in appearance since their construction.

These old photos show some of the stores that were once located in Bold Street, Church Street, Lord Street and Whitechapel.
