Where to find every Ultra Beast in ‘Pokémon Sword and Shield’ Crown Tundra DLC

0

Ultra Beasts are a new subset of the legendary Pokémon introduced in the Sun and Moon games and can now be found and captured in The Crown Tundra DLC for Sword and Shield.

These Pokémon from another dimension do not appear the second you set foot in the Crown Tundra. In fact, the Ultrabiesters have their own special side mission that is unlocked after the Trainers meet a few requirements.

HOW TO UNLOCK THE MISSION OF THE ULTRA BEASTS WITH SWORD AND SHIELD

To unlock the Ultra Beast mission in The Crown Tundra DLC, instructors must complete Peony’s three legendary missions.

The main mission with Calyrex, the sub-mission with the Regis, and the third mission with the Pokémon and the Peony of the Galarian Legendary Bird Pokémon and the Peony give trainers a fourth and final quest.

Meet him in the Dynamax Adventure Cave and he will talk about the Ultra Beasts and your mission to catch them all.

HOW TO CATCH THE ULTRA-BEASTS IN THE CROWN TUNDRA DLC

Once you have acquired the fourth mission from Peony, the instructors must find the Ultra Beasts using the Dynamax Adventure feature.

Make your way through the four battles in each Dynamax adventure to have a chance of finding one of the Ultra Beasts. Of course, you won’t know if you have entered an adventure with an Ultra Beast until you actually encounter it, but once you have found it, you can go back to fighting it if you fail the first time.

There are nine Ultra Beasts to find in total, each with its own train sets and type combinations. Here is a list of the Ultra-Bies you can find in the Dynamax adventures with their type combinations:

Nihilego (rock/prison)
Buzzwole (bow/fight)
Pheromosa (Bugs/Control)
Xurkitree (electric)
Celesteela (steel/flies)
Kartana (steel/grass)
Guzzlord (Dark/Dragon)
Stakataka (rock/steel)
Blachephelon (ghost/fire)

Instructors can also find Ultra Beasts by participating in their Dynamax adventure via the online function.

There is another Ultra Beast that you can get in Sword and Shield Unlike the others, Poipole can be given away to trainers who catch at least five Ultra Beasts in Dynamax adventures.

Talk to the leader of the Dynamax adventure in Max Hill and she will give you the Ultra Beast.

Poipol gets to level 20 with the moves Helping Hand, Acid, Fury Attack and Fell Stinger. This Ultra Beast is unique because it is the only one that can evolve by becoming Naga Needle once it reaches a higher level after learning the Dragon Pulse.

Trainers can re-teach the Poipole Dragon Pulse with the help of the Motion Relainer at any Pokémon Center.

The Crown Tundra DLC for Pokémon Sword and Shield is now available for Nintendo Switch
