The ‘Among us’ update adds anonymous votes, and a new map is on its way.

The popular party game Among Us has a brand new update that fixes several bugs and adds some quality of life changes as well as an anonymous voting option.

Among us developers Innersloth updated its player base about the changes with a new blog post on Monday. The post starts with a message about the ongoing fraud and hacking attempts that certain players insist on.

“First, we want to be sure we’re talking about the scams and hacking attempts. It was pretty bad there for a while, so Forte [one of the developers]pushed the server changes out very quickly. They seemed to help a lot, but some cheats still work, and now there are bugs,” the blog post says. “There will be more server updates to fix all this, but rash anti-hacks caused the bugs, so cleaning up is a slower process. Also be assured that all threats in the game are false positives and your devices and data are safe. If you see a hacker, block him or find another room”.

Following the message, the developers have broken down what changes are pending in this latest update. According to the blog post, the update contains the following items:

– Anonymous voting option added

All voices appear gray

– Added task bar modes

The Always mode works as normal

The meeting mode updates the bar only during meetings

The invisible mode removes the taskbar completely

– MIRA: Communication sabotage deletes the security protocols

-Add symbols for fixing wires

-Add cosmetics to the meeting screen

-various bug fixes

Innersloth then mentioned some of the upcoming updates it plans for the game.

And although the developers didn’t provide an official roadmap, they obviously wanted to let players know what they were working on. This includes relatively simple features such as having accounts so that the disks can report accounts that are “toxic and/or hacking”. While Innersloth admits that these kinds of features will be “barebones” at first, things like a friends list will be available at a later date.

Innersloth is also working on a brand new card. It will be under the Henry Stickmin theme (this is another game developed by Innersloth) and will be bigger than the current space map. It will also contain new tasks and will be available to all players for free.

The team is also working on translations and localization to bring as many countries as possible among us. It is also working on support for colorblind. This new patch will include a “first pass” for color-blindness support, and the team will continue to monitor how it works.

Among us is available on PC and mobile devices.
