Season 1: Leaks reveal war zone, maps and weapons

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1 has officially been leaked before the official unveiling, and that means we know all about the specialists, weapons, maps and the war zone component of the Battle Pass, which is scheduled for release on December 10. While we can’t present any pictures of the leaks ourselves, we’ll provide the best possible description of the new features that fans can expect to find on the officially released roadmap.

Most of those details have spread through various ways on the internet by now, but the central source is courtesy of a thread from _ItsEnder about the Black Ops Cold War Subreddit.

Professionals: The combat pass includes a specialist named Stitch, who some say resembles Bane from the Dark Knight trilogy. In bundles, players can purchase a female French soldier figure called Zeyna.
Weapons: One of the weapons in Squadron 1 is the MAC11. This weapon was classified in previous Call of Duty entries as both SMG and handgun. There is also the Groza assault rifle and the Striker shotgun. The Striker is the rifle that Adler holds in his hand in the roadmap image, while the Groza is shown above the heading “New Weapons”.
Multiplayer maps: Although the names have not yet been released, the leaks indicate that Black Ops Cold War Season 1 includes a reissue of the raid map from Black Ops 2, a new map inside and outside a shopping mall, and a winter night version of Nuketown.
Firearms Combat maps: In addition to the return of the gunfight mode, the first maps seem to feature a retro game show, a subway, a rocket launching site, and the KGB interior of the campaign.
Battle Pass: Expect something similar to what you saw in Modern Warfare. There are new skins for Sims and Stitch, tracers, watches, XP boosts, CoD points and other goodies.
Save: Some anime and holiday bundles are also on the way.
Warzone: The main story about Warzone is that there seems to be some kind of nuclear weapon launch event in the near future that hasn’t been officially announced yet. When the dust settles, players will be able to enjoy a newly branded Alcatraz-like map called Rebirth Island. The smaller area is located at dusk and is full of Soviet propaganda. Based on the prevailing theory that Rebirth Island will be more compact than Verdansk, it is imagined that this will be a completely new map, in addition to the larger one already adored by fans.

That’s all we know about Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1 for now, but we’ll probably learn more about it on an official basis as the release date approaches December 10th.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is now available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
