Apex Legends Season 7 is only hours away, and the upcoming update could be one of the biggest patches this popular battle king has seen so far. Are you ready to take to the skies with Horizon and start with a new Battle Pass? Here are the expected launch times and the most important details you should know.
When does Apex Legends Season 7 start?
Respawn confirmed through an official blog post posted on Monday afternoon that Apex Legends Season 7 will begin at 23:00 EST on November 4.
This release time is different from all previous season updates that started at 13:00 ET or 1:00 ET on the day of release. Once the above hour strikes, the update will be available for installation on all platforms. If you play on PS4, patch version 1.50 is probably the one you are looking for. Preloading the Season 7 update is currently live on Steam, but not on other platforms.
What you can expect from Apex Legends Season 7
Now that you have an idea of when Apex Legends Season 7 is likely to launch, let’s review the key features you can expect to see at launch. There’s a lot to talk about, so let’s get right to the point.
New Legend – Horizon: Horizon is a Scottish legend that uses gravity to its advantage. Here is a summary of her skills.
Spacewalk [Passive]: Increase air control and decrease the fall effect with Horizon’s custom space suit.
Gravity Lift [Tactical]: Reverse the flow of gravity, lifting players up and sending them outside when they leave the space suit.
Black Hole [Ultimate]: Use NEWT to create a micro black hole that pulls players there.
New Map – Olympus: This magnificent cloud city hosts several new PoIs, including the Bonsai Garden and Rift. It is larger than Kings Canyon, but smaller than World’s Edge. The Trident Vehicle and Phase Runner Teleporter exist to make rotations faster than ever before. Explore the map without a fight in the Olympus Preview LTM.
Trident: This three-seat vehicle can only be manned by troops. You cannot eliminate other players by hitting them with it.
Clubs: Up to 30 players can form a club with a unique name, tag and logo. Clubs can be tagged for public search, or they can be completely private if you wish.
Battle Pass revision: Season 7 Battle Pass has a revised progression system based on stars, with 10 stars corresponding to one level. The reward for level 100 is the Cutting Edge R99 Reactive. There is also a new high class skin for Wraith.
Steam Support: Play Apex on Steam with Crossplay and Cross Progression Support with everything unlocked on Origin.
Buffs, nerfs and tweaks: The Season 7 update also includes optimizations such as the new Quickdraw buff, a cooldown buff for Pathfinder, a Loba black market buff and a stronger L-Star. Many changes are still being made in the patch notes.
That’s all we know about the 7th season of Apex Legends at the moment, but this summary should give a clear idea of what to expect from the big update on Wednesday.
Apex Legends is now available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
