Pokémon Go’ Alolan Marowak Day of the raid: start time, counter & stamps; everything you need to know.


While the Trainers enjoy the Halloween celebrations of Pokémon Go, the popular mobile game brings another special event this weekend.

On the day of the Alolan Marowak raid, all raids will be occupied by the Alola region variant, giving Trainers a chance to catch these powerful Pokémon. These Marowak will also have an exclusive train that the Trainers can use in battle.

Since the Halloween Cup is currently taking place, Alolan Marowak is one of the best Pokémon that can be used in this format. So if you don’t have a Pokémon, this is the best chance to add one to your team.


The special day of the Alolan Marowak raid begins on Saturday, October 31st, from 11:00 to 17:00 local time.


As a Spirit and Fire-type Pokémon, Alolan Marowak has weaknesses for attacks of the water, ground, rock, darkness, and ghosts types.

In Pokémon Go, there are even three Mega Pokémon that Trainers can lead into battle against Alolan Marowak during the special raid day. Mega Gengar, Mega Houndoom and Mega Blastoise are the best ways to take out these special Pokémon. By increasing the duration of Mega Evolution, you can develop one of these Pokémon Mega Evolution and use it for the duration of the raid day.

Mega-Houndoom with growl and foul play
Mega-Blastoise with water pistol and hydrogun
Swamp area with mud shot and hydrogun
Mewtwo with psycho cut and shadow ball

Gyarados with waterfall and water pump
Rampardos with smack down and rockslide
Chandelier with hex and shadow ball
Weaving with growl and foul


You may already have an Alolan Marowak, but this Raid Day gives Trainers the chance to catch these powerful Pokémon with an exclusive attack.

Alolan Marowak, who is caught during the Event Window, will know the exclusive Shadowbones move. Not much is known about this ghost-type attack, but if we use other exclusive moves, Shadowbone Alolan Marowak’s best option for damage in the Plant Breeders’ Den.

To help Trainers win as many battles as possible against Alolan Marowak, Pokémon Go is giving away three Remote Raid passes on Saturday. Request them from the in-game store. These passes allow the Trainers to fight in a Raid from the comfort of their own homes.
