PlayStation 5 is still difficult to access, with some retailers replenishing the console without warning and the few available consoles selling out almost immediately.
Target dropped some PS5 consoles in the early hours of Thursday morning, and although some players were lucky, stocks sold out quickly. Below is an overview of how to keep track of PS5 inventory and which retailers are likely to have consoles soon.
Amazone PS5 Inventory
The PS5 console is currently not available at Amazon.
Antonline PS5 in stock
Continental sold a PS5 bundle with an additional PlayStation 5 DualSense wireless controller, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition, Demon’s Souls, Sackboy: A Big Adventure and The Last of Us Part II Standard Edition PS4 for $829.94, but it’s now sold out.
Antony will announce all new releases on his Twitter profile at @Antonlinecom, so keep an eye out for updates.
Best Buy PS5 Stock
The PS5 and the digital edition are both sold out at Best Buy.
Costco PS5 stock
Costco no longer has the PS5 in stock. When Costco initially sold the PS5, it was limited to one per customer and was only available to members. It might be worth considering this if and when Costco re-launches the console.
There are dozens of PS5 consoles listed on eBay, but many cost hundreds of dollars more than the original price, with the most expensive listing being nearly $10,000. In addition, buyers should be wary of scams on eBay, as some scammers only sell the PS5 box or a picture of the console.
GameStop PS5 stock
GameStop seems to be completely sold out for the PS5 console. The PlayStation 5 is no longer available on the GameStop website, and stores seemed to have sold out the consoles that were in the store on the weekend of Black Friday.
PlayStation Direct PS5 stock
Both PS5 consoles are out of stock on PlayStation Direct, although PlayStation has announced that more will be in stock by the end of the year.
Thousands of PlayStation 5 consoles were sold through Stock X, with the lowest selling price at $651 and the highest at $1,310. Stock X might be a good option if you’re desperate to get the console quickly and don’t mind spending more than the original retail price. However, scalers who resell the PS5 are part of the reason why it is so difficult to get the console.
Target PS5 Dropping
Target quietly refilled the PS5 in the early hours of Thursday morning, but seemed to sell out very quickly online.
Target still seems to have some PS5 consoles in stock, but availability varies by store. For example, according to PopFindr, a few stores in or near Los Angeles seem to have 12 consoles each in stock. If PopFindr’s information is correct, these PS5 consoles should be available for purchase via the Target app and can be picked up in the store.
However, according to Target’s website, the PS5 consoles are largely sold out, even after Thursday’s clearance sale. Use the PopFindr app as a guide, and if the app suggests that there are Target stores that stock some of them in your area, check the app and call the store before you show up there.
Walmart PS5 Stock
The PS5 console is no longer in stock at Walmart.
