‘NBA 2K21’ Update 1.05 Adds case law & fixes faces – patch notes.

The NBA 2K21 Update 1.05 went live on Wednesday morning on PS4 and Xbox One, and the game’s developers at Visual Concepts have finally released some official patch notes so players know what to expect from the extensive download. Similar to Patch #3 before, Patch #4 adds a new round of season slots, improves player similarity and fixes some remaining bugs. The details will be published in an updated blog post on the Courtside Report.

Many other fixes have been made to improve the overall experience of NBA 2K21 in all game modes

*Update is available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4; will be introduced on additional platforms at a later date.

To be fair, the patch notes for the NBA 2K21 Update 1.05 are quite thin despite the enormous download size of the content. All in all, it looks like a few Legend scans got most of the love, and a number of very inconsistent bugs have been fixed to improve the experience. The bug that prevents players from receiving their daily VC bonus still needs to be fixed, and the team statistics still don’t show up in pre-game reconnaissance games. I’m sure that this update contains many minor improvements that really improve certain mechanics, but they are not in this list. Instead, players can rest assured knowing that the machines in Jeff’s Arcade (which almost no one uses) look great.

This small list of adjustments is not too surprising, considering that Visual Concepts has been a bit slow to ensure that the current version of 2K21 meets the traditionally high standard of the series. After all, most of the team is probably busy putting the finishing touches on the next version of the game, which is literally days away from release. There may be more substantial updates to come, but it’s difficult to expect anything really massive this week in particular. With a little luck, some of the coolest next-gen features will soon find their way onto PS4 and Xbox One.

NBA 2K21 is now available for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and Sadia.
