Marvel Rivals Season 6 Adds Deadpool, New Map and Major Updates

NetEase Games is set to roll out Season 6 of Marvel Rivals this week, bringing one of the game’s most anticipated characters — Deadpool — along with a new map, fresh content, and a wave of gameplay improvements.

The new season, officially titled “Night at the Museum,” launches on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. UTC across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).

Servers Will Go Offline During the Update

NetEase has confirmed that the game’s servers will be taken offline for at least two hours during the update process. Players should expect some downtime before being able to jump into the new season, even after downloading the patch.

Once the servers come back online, Season 6 content will be available simultaneously on all platforms.

    Deadpool Finally Joins the Roster

The headline addition is, without question, Deadpool.

While NetEase has not yet revealed full details about his abilities or role, the character is expected to significantly shake up the game’s meta. The developer has said more information will be shared shortly before launch, leaving the community speculating about whether Deadpool will be a high-damage brawler, a hybrid fighter, or something more unconventional.

Given Deadpool’s personality and fighting style, expectations are high that his gameplay design will be as unpredictable as the character himself.

A New Map and the “Night at the Museum” Theme

Season 6 also introduces a brand-new map, designed around the “Night at the Museum” theme. While NetEase has not yet revealed all gameplay mechanics tied to the map, the studio has hinted at creative environments and dynamic settings inspired by Marvel’s universe.

In addition to the map, players can expect:

    • New game modes
    • New accessories and cosmetics
    • Additional customization options for heroes

Balance Changes, Bug Fixes, and Patch Notes

NetEase has confirmed that Season 6 will include numerous bug fixes and gameplay refinements, aimed at improving overall stability and match quality.

In recent days, leaked patch notes have circulated online, but multiple outlets have reported that these leaks appear exaggerated or unreliable. NetEase is expected to release the official balance changes shortly before launch.

As in previous seasons, even small tuning changes could have a major impact on competitive play.

    Free Rewards for Players

To encourage players to jump in early, NetEase is also offering free skins for Magneto and Iron Man, along with a leveling boost to help users progress faster at the start of the season.

Players are also being reminded to check active Marvel Rivals codes, which can unlock additional cosmetic rewards.

Another Big Moment for Marvel Rivals

Since its launch, Marvel Rivals has steadily grown its player base thanks to its fast-paced action, team-based gameplay, and iconic Marvel characters.

Each new season has brought noticeable shifts in strategy and character popularity — and Deadpool’s arrival is expected to be one of the most disruptive additions yet.

What to Expect on Launch Day

    • Download the update
    • Expect at least two hours of server downtime
    • Jump in once servers reopen
    • Explore the new map, test Deadpool, and check out balance changes

A New Season, A New Meta

With a new hero, a new map, and a long list of tweaks and fixes, Season 6 looks set to reshape how Marvel Rivals is played.

Whether Deadpool becomes a must-pick character or a situational wildcard, his arrival alone is enough to make this one of the most watched updates in the game’s history.

As the countdown to January 16 continues, players are preparing for what could be the most eventful season yet in Marvel Rivals.
