Galarian Slowking is one of the new regional forms in The Crown Tundra DLC for Pokémon Sword and Shield.
To obtain it, Trainers must collect a special item scattered throughout the regions of the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra. However, it will take a little more patience to obtain a Galarian Slowking than its counterpart, the Galarian Slowbro.
HOW TO TURN THE GALARIAN SLOWPOKE INTO A SLOWKING
Like Galarian Slowbro, this new slowking needs the special Galarica wreath to develop. Trainers simply need to use it on the Galarian Slowpoke to develop it into the Slowking they want.
HOW TO GET THE ELEMENTS NEEDED TO DEVELOP FROM SLOWPOKE TO SLOWKING
To get the Galarian Slowbro, the trainers needed eight Galarica branches to create the special item for the development of their Slowpoke. For Galarian Slowking this number is increased to 15.
Of course, Galarica branches can be acquired in The Isle of Armor or Crown Tundra, so if you (hopefully) hoarded your branches while exploring The Isle of Armor, you should have enough of them now.
Galarica branches are presented as hidden items based on trees around the Isle of Armor. If you need a refresher, hidden items are the glowing goggles on the ground, which you can pick up by standing next to them and pressing the A Button.
Galarica twigs spawn at random and are occasionally re-spawned, so the instructors need to do some research and be patient to find 15 of them.
Once you have found 15 Galarica Branches, the instructors must make their way through the caves of the roaring sea to reach the Arctic Ocean. Once they have left the cave and arrived at the Arctic Sea, they should keep left and travel on the water to a small secret opening in the cave.
After they have covered a few meters, players should see a room where an NPC stands alone. Talk to this older woman to learn more about the Galarica Wreath. Give her the 15 Galarica branches she needs and she will give you the evolution item.
Galarica Slowing is a Pokémon of the Poison and Psychic type with a special new ability called Curious Medicine. This ability removes all status changes on your side of the board.
The new Galarian Pokémon also has a signature attack called Scary Spell, a Psychic-type movement that deals special attack damage and removes 3 PP from the target’s last movement.
The Crown Tundra DLC for Pokémon Sword and Shield is now available for Nintendo Switch.
