The Regis were introduced in Gen 3 and expanded in Pokémon Sword and Shield by The Crown Tundra DLC.
Two new Regis were added in Regieleki and Regidrago, giving Pokémon Trainers new legends to track and capture. Just as the original three Regis – Regirock, Regice, Registeel – were found, Trainers must have certain Pokémon in their group, among other things.
Learn how to catch each Regi in The Crown Tundra DLC.
HOW TO CATCH EVERY REGI IN THE CROWN TUNDRA DLC
In order to be able to capture every region in the Crown Tundra, trainers must activate the side story “The Terrible Titans….Lurking Locked Away” by walking in front of the first temple you see after you leave Freezington.
There are four temples scattered across the Coronation Tundra, each of which will be locked for the trainer. On the door of each temple is a note telling you how the Trainer can unlock them, and it is based on the Pokémon they carry.
Trainers must also have seven Gym Badges to encounter them.
How to Catch Regirock
The Regirock Temple is located in the Rock Peak Ruins, which are in the southeastern region of the Giant’s Bed. To unlock the temple, Trainers must have their leading Pokémon hold an Everstone.
Once you enter the Temple, mark all the lights on the ground to meet Regirock.
Regirock will approach you at level 70 and is a pure Rock Pokémon. It has the attacks, super power, stone edge, hammer arm, and curse.
How to Catch Regirock
Regice is located in the iceberg ruins, west of the snow slide slope. To open the temple, Trainers must have a Cryogonal as their Lead Pokémon. The Crown Tundra DLC adds Cryogonal to the Gen 8 game, and you can find them all over the region, so it shouldn’t be hard for the trainers to find one.
Mark all the lights on the ground to hit Regice.
Regice is at level 70 and is a pure ice Pokémon. It has the movements Ice Beam, Zap Cannon, Amnesia and Icy Wind.
How to catch Registeel
The Registeel is located in the iron ruins that can be found in the western part of the giant bed. Just whistle in front of the temple to open it. To whistle, press the left analog stick down. Mark all lights on the floor to hit Registeel.
The Pure Steel Pokémon comes to level 70 with the attacks Heavy Slam, Lightning Cannon, Iron Defense and Charge Beam.
How to Catch Registeel/Regidrago
These two regis are found in the split deciruins, which are found in the three-point pass. Trainers must have Regice, Registeel and Regirock in their party to unlock the entrance to the temple.
Unlock the other temples, and the instructors must choose which of these regis they want to encounter. Mark the lights on the floor according to the pattern of Regieleki or Regidrago.
Regieleki is an all-electric Pokémon and will reach level 70, with the Thunder Cage, Electric Web, Extreme Speed, and Magnetic Ascent movements.
Regidrago is a pure Dragon Pokémon and gets to level 70 with the following attacks: Dragon Energy, Dragon Claw, Laser Focus, Hammer Arm.
How to catch Regigigas
Regigigas is the “Father” of all Regis in the Pokémon Franchise and can be captured after he has caught the other four.
There is a raid cave in the Giant’s bed that trainers cannot put a divining rod into. This is the cave of the Regigigas and can only be entered if you have Regice, Registeel, Regirock, Regieleki and Regidrago in your group. Regigigas will pull you into the raid cave so that you can fight there.
Regigigas reaches level 100 with the attacks Giga Impact, Zen Headbutt, Hammer Arm and Crush Grip.
The Crown Tundra DLC for Pokémon Sword and Shield is now available for Nintendo Switch
