14.50 Fortnite Update Patch Notes
Highlights of the royal battle
Yeah, I can fly: WE have seen many Skybase attempts during Fortnitemares crumble, and Stark Industries has a solution. Take off with the new and improved jetpacks scattered around the island.
Poggie’s moment: Lachlan takes part in the Icon Series. Before he arrives at the Item Shop, he’s holding a rule-based Pickaxe Frenzy tournament! Grab your pickaxe and join him from November 7th to 8th to take the chance to earn the Lachlan Icon Series Set early!
Ready for the next generation: The new Xbox and PlayStation consoles are almost here! 14.50 prepares Fortnite for next-generation hardware with faster load times, dynamic graphics and physics and 4K resolution at 60FPS.
XP Extravaganza: Line up your troops! New bonus challenges are coming this week that will put your team’s skills to the test. Do you have an eye for a shiny foil style? Finish your Battle Pass with these party-wide XP challenges and fight Galactus in mint condition.
The Marvel Knockout Super Series gets rolling this week with Ghost Rider.
Bug fixes

Royal Battle

Due to a problem the gas cans were temporarily disabled in all game modes.
We are investigating a problem that causes the “Cozy Chomps” and “Ravage Outfits” to appear as Ramirez in the lobby and during a game.
The THWIP! Legacy is not awarded after it has fulfilled its requirement (immediate elimination of an opponent after he has been drawn with a harpoon gun during the 4th season).

Creative

After leaving The Baller, the vehicle may continue to move and shake unnaturally.
There is a “Back to Hub” option in a “Create” server, but NO “Play” server. The “Back to Hub” option in an island does not work either.

Saving the world

We are investigating the various reports of weapons and their privileges that are not working properly after the 14.30 update. Some of these symptoms are: Bows do not retract properly when the fire button is held down while reloading. Benefits for weapons that do not use the statistics correctly. 6. benefits for weapons that are not activated (nocturno etc.).
Suffering storm damage will cancel the hoverboard assembly. This makes it difficult to escape the storm when playing in a class with low mobility.
It may happen that the game stops reacting or freezes after you open a prey llama in “Save the World” and open the settings menu right after that.

Mobile

We are investigating a problem that causes the sound for players on Nintendo Switch to be delayed or dropped.

Considering how late we are currently in season 4, the Fortnite 14.50 update is decently full-featured considering what it brings to the table. Especially the jetpacks are not exactly a complete novelty, but they will definitely give the game some vertical excitement in the coming weeks. The inclusion of several weeks of XP Extravaganza challenges is also a nice surprise, as Fortnite believers often wonder what might happen after the 10 weeks of standard weekly challenges have expired. It was especially difficult to get some of these fantastic Marvel skins this time, so it’s a very welcome move to distribute rewards on a cross-party basis.

However, apart from the highlights, there’s simply not much more for players to experience at the moment. In fact, even next-generation support on PS5 and Xbox Series X is still about a week away for those with the right hardware. As fantastic as this will be to see, it doesn’t do us much good today. That just leaves us with a few minor bug fixes for problems that most people probably didn’t have. The temporary removal of the gas can is a shame, but the jetpacks sound like they provide enough distraction to keep us busy. All in all, the Fortnite Update 14.50 offers everything you can expect from a late-year patch.

Fortnite is now available for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and Android.
