The Dutchman is facing a lengthy rehabilitation period after injuring the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during the Merseyside derby earlier this month.
“I’m always available game after game, I still have three years left on my contract, I’m calm, the teams are looking for me, but I’m still here.
The Senegalese central defender is under contract with Napoli until 2023, and although he has confessed his love for the Serie A club, he could not rule out setting off on a new challenge in the foreseeable future.
