By the time he arrives at West Ham United on Saturday, Klopp will have seen his side three times in seven days, but he refused to confirm that he will rotate heavily at Anfield tonight.
Jurgen Klopp does not believe Liverpool will be forced to make any changes when they meet Midtjylland FC in the Champions League tonight.
Jurgen Klopp does not believe that Manchester City should be forced to play on Wednesday and Saturday after the Champions League match.
“The next game is not so much a problem, because three or four days in between is fine. We’ll see if we make changes or not, but that will only happen because we want to win the game.
“We have to see that,” the German told BT Sport. “Any team we would put together tonight is all about winning and nothing else.
“I don’t want to sound like a whiner, but I don’t think I would mention it so often if nobody asked me,” he said.
Klopp also criticized the fact that the Premier League forces clubs that play in Europe to play on a Saturday afternoon after a Wednesday game.
Manchester City travelled to Porto last week and met West Ham United at noon the following weekend.
“Then I’m asked, we’re all part of it, you’re part of it, it’s the Champions League that plays Wednesday, then Tuesday, and then it’s the Premier League that throws it at us afterwards.
“I think everybody would agree that if you play on Tuesday, then you can play on Saturday at noon, but somehow the Premier League always puts the European game on Wednesday on a Saturday.
“We just have to keep thinking about the players. It’s a challenge to manage the squad, but that’s the way it is.
“Man City had to play this game and I can’t believe it. Of course we’re not friends, we play against each other, but when I saw it, I asked: ‘How is that possible? So it’s not just about us.
He added: “Normally we have a week’s break between games in the group phase, but we don’t have that this time.
“We’re all happy to be able to continue playing, and that’s the main thing, but in this game there are still decisions to be made that don’t help but don’t hurt certain teams.
“The international breaks are now triple-headers, not double-headers, and the main players of the top six teams have all played at least two and a half games and then immediately return to play.
“But the first goal is to win football matches, and we have to use our best players as often as possible. I have always understood that the Premier League should be our partner, a partner of the players.
“Maybe I’m too stupid, but I don’t understand why I have to mention and talk about this and not Richard Masters and the others: “They play on Tuesday night, so let them play at 12:30, they play on Wednesday, so don’t let them play this game”.
“Aguero came back, played 2 games and got injured again, people ask “why did he play the second game?” because he is already injured.
