Jurgen Klopp describes the Liverpool midfielder he dismissed as “one of the best” he has ever worked with.

Lallana came to Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer when his contract expired after he had played more than 150 performances for Liverpool in six years.

Jurgen Klopp told former Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana that he is one of the best he has ever worked with in football.

Adam Lallana left Liverpool in the summer to join Brighton and Hove Albion.

“What a player, what a person, what a guy, we don’t have time to really praise you, but one of the best I’ve ever worked with,” he replied.

The 32-year-old left the team after winning the Premier League, Champions League, Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup, and Klopp was asked by BT Sport to send him a message.

“Developing is the right word,” Klopp said. “It would be strange if they were playing together twice and everything was perfect.

Klopp also expressed his thoughts on the “developing” central defender partnership of Joe Gomez and Fabinho.

Fabinho has returned to the defensive after the injuries of Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip and impressed in wins against Ajax and Sheffield United.

“They played together for the first time last week and played really well in the last game. Now let’s continue like this, improve, develop, work together and hope that Joel comes back, Kostas comes back and then we have options there”.
