Jason Taylor has agreed to join Barrow as a player-coach.
Jason Taylor, a midfielder for Barrow, has signed a new two-year deal with the Sky Bet League Two team to become a player-coach.
Taylor has made over 100 appearances for Barrow and will continue to play for The Bluebirds while joining Mark Cooper’s management team.
The 34-year-old, who has also played for Rotherham United, Stockport County, Northampton Town, and Cheltenham Town, helped Barrow earn promotion from the National League in 2019/20 and was also vital in keeping them in League Two last season.
Cooper, who took over as Barrow manager last month after five years with Forest Green, said on the club’s website: “Jason is a player who has played against my sides many times.”
“His leadership and organizational talents have always impressed me; he’s a winner and someone who can undoubtedly help us both on and off the field.”
