Everton’s ranks are being raided by a Championship club in search of a new signing.
Former Everton midfielder Callum Connolly has joined Blackpool.
The 23-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the recently promoted Championship team, with the option of a third season.
Connolly will join Josh Bowler in leaving Everton for Blackpool this summer, as his contract at Goodison expires next week.
Last week, Bowler, 22, decided to join Neil Critchley’s side, with his Blues contract scheduled to expire at the end of the month.
Following the completion of his Everton contract, Luke Garbutt joined Blackpool in September, while Ellis Simms spent the second part of the season on loan with the Tangerines, scoring 10 goals to help them reach the play-offs.
Everton is expected to offer Simms a new deal, and if he accepts, a fresh loan will be negotiated.
