Pickford of Alisson criticizes

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has criticized Jordan Pickford for the challenge that ended Virgil van Dijk’s season.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “Every goalkeeper has a different way of playing and a different way of moving.

“But at that moment, 100%, it was not a necessary movement.

“I think about what goes through my mind when I tackle a situation – I go to end the situation. If I get too soft, I know that the opponent can score.

“But everyone has his own way of catching the ball.

“I don’t agree with that [Pickford about Van Dijk] – everyone can see that.

“It was just an unnecessary moment and an unnecessary movement.”

Newcastle Violation Update

Newcastle has doubts about a handful of players who will be competing against Everton this weekend.

Steve Bruce has confirmed that Jamaal Lascelles and Jonjo Shelvey are likely to sit out both.

“We only have one major concern, and that is Jamaal Lascelles.

“He has a foot injury, so we’ll see how he is doing. (Matty Longstaff) played one and a half games for the U23 and it looks like he’s over his injury. Sean (Longstaff) has recovered from an attack of tonsillitis.

“”With the way hernia injuries look these days, we estimate it could take three or four weeks – certainly we hope he’ll still be there or around after the international break.

Walcott drops exit notice

Theo Walcott has hinted at an extended stay in Southampton as a loan after his move from Everton.

The assailant returned to his club from his teenage years with a seasonal loan from Everton on the day of the transfer period, after falling into the pecking order at Goodison Park.

In an interview with the Saints’ website, Walcott revealed that he was interested in a longer-term relationship with Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl.

His current contract with Everton runs until the end of the season and it seems unlikely that he will sign a new contract during his time on the South Coast. The 31-year-old also hinted at the possibility of a move to coaching, which explains his desire to help young players follow in his footsteps at St. Mary’s.

However, the 29-year-old will now be called up after Fabinho was forced to retire after an injury in his team’s Champions League win over FC Midtjylland midweek.

Vecino ‘considered’ output in January

Do you remember Matias Vecino?

Well, he is baaaaaack.

Everton was stubbornly attached to the Inter Milan midfielder at the beginning of the year, although ECHO understood that the blues weren’t interested in his services.

Well, FC Inter News claims that the Uruguayan could again be considered for an exit from San Siro, even though he wants to fight for his place at Inter. He reports that he will consider leaving in January when the club and Conte “kick him out”.

The report quoted by Sport Witness claims that Vecino would prefer to switch to a “top club” playing in Europe, with Seville crediting interest.

Everton is also mentioned, but there is no indication that he would move for his services.
