Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti today signalled the club’s intention to fight against the suspension of three games against the left-back after his dismissal against Southampton.
Everton has until 1 p.m. tomorrow to officially launch the appeal process against Lucas Digne’s red card.
Everton’s defender Lucas Digne was sent off the field during the Premier League defeat to Southampton on Sunday.
The French international is currently facing a three-time ban, which would cause him to miss games with Newcastle, Manchester United and Fulham.

Digne received a red card from referee Kevin Friend after he caught Kyle Walker-Peters’ Achilles in the second half of today’s game at St. Mary’s Stadium.
Everton must prove to a regulatory panel that Friend made a “manifest error” in showing Digne a red card.
But Ancelotti, who called the decision “a joke,” wants the club to appeal.
The Football Association says Everton must make clear its intention to file a wrongful dismissal suit by 1:00 p.m. tomorrow, and then has until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday to present any written and/or video evidence to support its case. ..
