The first lunar eclipse of the year will be visible this week as the super flower blood moon crosses the sky in the early hours of Wednesday EDT.

However, it will not be visible everywhere, and those in eastern parts of the United States will not see anything because the moon will have set.

Many that are unable to view it from their own vantage point will be able to watch it live on the internet.

Starting at 6:00 a.m. EDT on May 26, the Virtual Telescope Project, based in Italy, will broadcast live footage of the lunar eclipse. It’s available on the Virtual Telescope Project’s WebTV website, which you can find here.

The team has also teamed up with a number of astrophotographers based mainly in the United States and Australia to provide a variety of perspectives on the case.

Since the moon will be fully obscured by Earth’s shadow for 14 minutes and 30 seconds, the total eclipse will only last 14 minutes and 30 seconds.

The eclipse will last from approximately 4:45 a.m. EDT to 9:50 a.m. EDT and these are the periods when the moon will begin to reach Earth’s penumbra—outer shadow—and finally leave it.

The super flower blood moon this week, according to Gianluca Masi, creator of the Virtual Telescope Project, would be “somewhat special,” according to a blog post.

This is due to the fact that, in addition to being a blood moon, it is also a supermoon, as the name implies.

The name “blood moon” comes from the fact that during a lunar eclipse, the moon turns a reddish hue. This occurs because the Earth blocks the light from the sun that would usually give the moon its natural white color during a lunar eclipse.

While some sunlight reaches the moon, it is heavily filtered through Earth’s atmosphere first, giving it a reddish hue.

A supermoon, on the other hand, happens when the full moon is nearest to Earth during its orbit. Since the moon’s orbit around our world is shaped like an oval, the moon comes exceptionally close to us at times.

Since not every supermoon is a blood moon, this one has piqued people’s attention.

Finally, there’s the flower. This is a brief summary.
