Scots looking for employment opportunities with Donald Trump’s luxury golf resort in Ayrshire will have the chance to apply during a hiring event next month. Trump Turnberry, located near Girvan in South Ayrshire, is set to host an annual recruitment fair on February 18, 2026, from 10am to 6pm.
The event invites prospective workers to attend and explore career opportunities at the five-star resort. Job seekers will be assisted in filling out applications, receive a guided tour of the hotel, and be treated to light refreshments prepared by the resort’s chefs.
To ease transportation for potential employees, Trump Turnberry will provide return shuttle services from several locations in Ayrshire, including train stations in Ayr and Maybole, as well as the Queens Hotel in Girvan.
Details on the Resort and its History
Trump Turnberry, which includes a hotel, three links golf courses, as well as lodge and cottage accommodations, has been part of the Trump Organization since 2014. However, Donald Trump resigned his directorship at the resort shortly before his presidential inauguration in 2017.
The resort has been at the center of controversy in recent years. In 2025, activists from Palestine Action vandalized the property, with red paint and slogans daubed across buildings and grass being dug up on the golf course. A 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with malicious mischief in connection with the damage.
During a five-day visit to Scotland last July, Trump also visited and played rounds at his other property, Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire, adding to his connection with the Scottish golfing landscape.
