On Monday night, emergency services were called to the house on Whalley Drive in Town Green, West Lancashire.
The body of a man was found in a house as police opened an investigation into his death.
Officials and forensic examiners were seen leaving the house after the man was discovered.
Lancashire Police are now asking anyone with information about the man to come forward and speak to the officers.
Coroners and police officers were seen coming and going out of the house for some time on Monday evening while experts are working to establish the cause of death.
The officers arrived just before 7 p.m. and discovered the man in his 60s before declaring the death “unexplainable.
“His death is currently being treated as “inexplicable” and investigations are underway.
In a statement, a spokesman for the force said: “The officers were called at 6:50 p.m. on Monday, October 26, to “report a sudden death at an address on Whalley Drive.
“We were there and sadly found the body of a man aged 60.
