Seven people have been arrested after a youngster was stabbed to death in south London.
Seven individuals have been arrested after a kid was stabbed to death in south London.
Four males and three women have been held, according to Scotland Yard, “on suspicion of various offences.”
The Metropolitan Police were called to Prentis Road in Streatham shortly after 4 p.m. on Thursday to reports of a stabbing.
A male with a stab wound to the chest was discovered by officers and the London Ambulance Service (LAS).
He was transferred to a hospital in central London, where he died shortly before 5 p.m.
Police are still on the scene, and Prentis Road is closed for the time being. The public is warned to stay away from the area.
The victim, who is in his late teens, is believed to have been identified, and his family has been notified.
The investigation is still in its early stages, and detectives are still trying to figure exactly what transpired.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the family of the young man stabbed to death on Streatham High Road this afternoon,” stated local MP Bell Ribeiro-Addy on Twitter.
“Arrests have been made in the vicinity, and an investigation is ongoing.”
