Merseyside investigators are looking for answers to 166 unsolved homicides.

In Merseyside, there have been 166 unsolved killings in the last 90 years.

All of the cases, which date back to 1931, are maintained on file, and officers never give up hope of apprehending the perpetrators.

The complete list (which can be viewed below) begins with the assassination of Julia Wallace, which has been dubbed Liverpool’s “impossible” assassination.

63 criminals have been arrested. In 2021, Liverpool judges handed down the harshest penalties. Detectives have been mystified by the case, dubbed “The Locked Room Murder,” which is so complicated that it is still unsolved 90 years later.

While many of the crimes date back decades, some are far more recent and are the subject of current investigations.
