Injured after explosion! Apartment building partially collapsed


In Hohen Neuendorf (Brandenburg) a violent explosion in a house is said to have occurred on Saturday. Several people were injured.

The explosion occurred in an apartment building in Karl-Marx-Strasse. “So far we know of three injured – but that could still change”, a police spokesperson said. According to B.Z.-Information, there are three seriously injured, there is also said to be one dead person.

The three-storey building in the middle of the town is said to have collapsed in parts – the cause of the explosion is still open. Photos show cracks in a house wall. A window was also damaged.

The fire brigade is on site with a large contingent including several rescue helicopters. Support forces from Berlin were also on site.
