Gabriella shared the recipe with ECHO readers, Gabriella said: “Pasta e Fagioli is a traditional Italian soup that means ‘pasta and beans’. It is a real favorite in our household at this time of year. It is a hearty dish and super easy to prepare”.
The recipe was created by Gabriella Margiotta from Gabriella’s Kitchen in Liverpool and it takes about an hour to prepare.
This recipe is suitable for about six to eight people. This is how it is prepared:
1 large white onion, finely diced
3 carrots, finely diced
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
3 sticks of celery, finely diced
8 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 bay leaf
2 large handfuls of Cavolo Nero or kale
1 small bunch of parsley, finely chopped
1 tin of peeled plum tomatoes.
