The number of Islamophobic attacks on Muslims in France has risen rapidly in 2019. The French Ministry of the Interior has registered 154 anti-Muslim motivated attacks, as the Office for Foreign Turks and Related Communities (YTB) reports on its website.
According to the non-profit organization “Collective against Islamophobia”, the number of Islamophobic attacks in France rose by 18 percent to a total of 789 cases. In 2019, 25 anti-Muslim attacks on Turkish citizens alone were documented in the EU country.
