Farhad Moshiri and Alisher Usmanov, the owners of Everton, are expected to receive a £500 million injection.
Everton owner Farhad Moshiri will get a portion of an almost £500 million dividend given to USM Holdings shareholders.
Metalloinvest, which is part of the USM, announced the massive dividends that will be paid out in the first quarter of 2021 at the beginning of the month.
It was decided that USM’s principal shareholders, Usmanov, Moshiri, Vladimir Stoch, and Ivan Streshinsky, would get 50 billion Russian Rubles (about £490 million).
According to reports, Usmanov holds approximately 50% of USM shares, with Stoch owning 30% and Moshiri owning 10%.
However, Metalloinvest stated that some of the funds would be “returned to the Company for the payment of intragroup transactions.”
Moshiri, on the other hand, is still in line for a sizable capital infusion from Metalloinvest following a strong first three months of the year.
According to the latest Sunday Times Rich List, Everton’s owner has increased his wealth to £2 billion in the previous year, while Usmanov’s net worth has increased to £13.4 billion.
