Kirk, 42, joined Manchester United Women as Deputy Manager in December 2018 after a stay with Manchester United Women.
Everton Women is currently in discussions with Manager Willie Kirk to renew his contract.
Willie Kirk was appointed manager of Everton Women in 2018 and will lead his team to an FA Cup final against defending champions Manchester City at Wembley Stadium this weekend.
The former manager of Hibernian Women and Bristol City Women believes that there is “no reason” why the contract should not be renewed after the birth of his first child this summer, and that things are “going well” in Everton.
He found Everton at the end of the Women’s Super League [WSL], but has since led them to an FA Cup final – where they face Manchester City at Wembley on Sunday – and an unbeaten start to the new domestic campaign.
“It’s currently running in the summer, but we’re talking about it now,” said Kirk, who originally had a two-and-a-half year contract in mind when asked about his contract.
“I would like to be here for another two and a half years, if not longer. I’ve settled in the area with my family, I’m raising my family in the area, things are going well at the club, so there’s no reason why we shouldn’t extend that.
