England’s Cricket World Cup winners will be honoured for their performance in the New Year’s List of Honour.

England’s World Cup winning squad should be on the New Year’s list of honors.

All 15 players and their head coach Trevor Bayliss will be rewarded for the breathtaking campaign at home, which ended on Sunday with the victory over New Zealand.

The Times report that Whitehall sources have confirmed that every member of the team becomes an MBE or OBE.

The players will visit Downing Street and meet outgoing Prime Minister Theresa May on Monday evening.

May is known for being a big cricket fan and was at Lord’s on Sunday. The Prime Minister has influence over the Sports Honours Committee and is expected to make a phone call with her proposals.

The famous 2005 Ashes winning team was honoured to beat Australia on these shores for the first time in 18 years.
