In a tweet the Council said: “Urgent Covid 19 job alert!
“We are recruiting contact tracers to assist us in our response to the coronavirus pandemic. Apply immediately so that we can get you operational as soon as possible”.
The positions are limited for up to six months, but can be extended at a later date.
The job description states: “You have excellent communication skills, are unbiased, have competent IT skills and can demonstrate experience in dealing diplomatically with sensitive or controversial issues.
“Some weekend work may be required, but is not essential for all job holders. A duty roster will be established.”
Interviews are conducted via Microsoft Teams or Skype.
An improved DBS could be a future requirement for the role.
