As his opinion on Rafael Benitez is clear, Antonio Conte sends a hint to Everton manager Marco Silva.

For Friday, June 11th, here is your Everton Morning Digest.

Antonio Conte has said that his future club management role will be based on ‘projects,’ and that he enjoys ‘difficult challenges.’

Conte stepped down from Internazionale this summer after leading them to their first Serie A victory since 2010 with a team that included Romelu Lukaku and Christian Eriksen.

Since then, the former Chelsea and Italy manager has been connected with open Premier League posts at Everton and Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham are close to hiring ex-Roma and Shakhtar Donetsk boss Paulo Fonseca, but Conte has warned that any club interested in hiring him must be “convinced.” Everton are also seeking for a replacement for Carlo Ancelotti.

Rafa Benitez has yet to be contacted by Everton, but his name has been mentioned by the club’s decision-makers.

Farhad Moshiri and the Everton board of directors have discussed the 61-year-old as they continue their search for Carlo Ancelotti’s successor at Goodison Park.

Everton are currently in their second week without a manager after the sudden departure of the Italian last Tuesday, and no appointment has been made.

The Blues are unwilling to make a hasty decision and are continuing to discuss their shortlist of contenders, with the ECHO reporting that no clear standout contender has emerged.
