Andrew Neil, a guest on This Morning, is in tears because he is “unlikely” to return to the show.
Andrew Neil sobbed in front of Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning today.
Andrew, 72, joined the show to talk about today’s newspaper headlines.
Camilla Tominey, Royal editor, also attended the panel via video link from her office.
The panel considered a number of matters, including the removal of a painting of the Queen from an Oxford College common room and the postponement of lockdown restrictions.
However, as the episode came to a close, Andrew broke down and expressed his gratitude to Holly and Phil for being “so kind” to him.
“Listen, I wanted to come in today and thank you for being so kind and wonderful,” Andrew explained.
Phil and Holly expressed their gratitude, and Phil added, “Oh Andrew, that’s a beautiful thing to say, and good luck on Sunday.”
Holly, who was visibly moved, added, “Oh you are soft sometimes, you truly are.”
Andrew is unlikely to return to This Morning after launching his own station, GB News, on June 13th.
