After being discovered at a rail station near Glasgow, a monkey was reunited with its family.
On Saturday afternoon, passengers at Cambuslang told the operator about the little primate.
Scotrail subsequently launched an appeal to reunite the monkey with its owners, who are believed to be marmosets.
The monkey had been found and was currently with the family, according to the operator.
“I’ve dealt with misplaced phones, handbags, and spectacles over the years, but this is definitely a first!” Scotrail wrote on Twitter. If you’ve misplaced your monkey… It’s awaiting the arrival of the next Cambuslang service into town.
“It’s fantastic news, people,” the operator added. This little guy was reunited with his family! He’s eating a tin of fruit one last time.
“It’s hard to think he possessed a can opener!”
